What happens if there is money left over on my voucher?

Any money you do not spend usually stays on the voucher for a later purchase, until the voucher expires. A simple example If you have a £50 voucher and spend £30, you would usually have £20 left on that voucher. Check the retailer's rules: some vouchers have different conditions about using them more than once. Keep the voucher after your first purchase and check its remaining balance before using it again. The money stays with that retailer's voucher; it is not a new Housing Perks discount. Need help? In the Housing Perks app, tap Help, then the support email address or Contact Support button. How long does a voucher last?

Each retailer sets its own voucher expiry date. Check the voucher details before buying and before using it. How to check Open the voucher or its terms and look for the expiry date. Do not assume every retailer gives you the same amount of time to spend it. Use any remaining balance before the deadline. Once a voucher has expired, the retailer may not allow you to use or recover the money left on it. If the expiry date is unclear, ask the retailer or contact support before relying on it. Need help? How do I check the balance of my voucher?

Check your voucher's instructions for the retailer's balance checker. You may need the voucher number and PIN. You may also see a balance on your latest shopping receipt or on the voucher page. Not every balance shown in the Housing Perks wallet updates after you spend the voucher. If the balance is unclear Use the retailer's balance checker or ask the retailer to confirm it. The original voucher value is not always the amount left to spend. Keep your voucher number and PIN private when asking for help. Need help? Why can't I spend or convert the remaining balance on my voucher?

The money left on a voucher is normally for shopping with that retailer. It is different from the discount you saved when buying the voucher. You cannot assume it can be paid into your bank account, moved to another retailer or changed into a rent contribution. Check the voucher's terms. If you cannot spend the balance Check whether the retailer has minimum-spend rules or restrictions on the items you want to buy. Ask the retailer if you can pay part by voucher and the rest another way. If you still need help, tell support the retailer, remaining amount and error shown. Need help? Voucher Balances and Expiry Dates

Your voucher balance is the money left to spend at the retailer. Your Housing Perks savings total records the discounts you have received. They are different amounts. Using the balance Check the retailer's rules about spending the voucher more than once and paying any extra amount another way. Checking the expiry date Look at the voucher details or its terms. Spend the remaining balance before it expires; an expired balance may not be recoverable. For a current balance, use the retailer's balance checker or ask the retailer. The original voucher value shown in your wallet may not update after shopping.
