Is the app free to use for tenants?
Yes. Housing Perks is free to download and use. There is no subscription fee. You only pay when you choose to buy a voucher for your shopping. You choose how to save For example, if a £100 voucher has a 5% saving, you can: - Keep the saving: pay £95 and get a £100 voucher to spend. You save £5 straight away. - Put the saving towards rent: pay £100 and get a £100 voucher to spend, with £5 going towards your rent. The rent option is available if your landlord offers it. You can turn it on or off in the Rent tab. This is an example. Check the saving and total shown in the app before you pay. Need help? In the Housing Perks app, tap Help, then the support email address or Contact Support button. If you cannot use the app, use our contact form.
Getting StartedWhy do I have to pay for a voucher if Housing Perks is a benefit?
Housing Perks helps you save on your shopping. It does not make the shopping itself free. You buy a voucher in the app, then use it to pay for shopping at that retailer. A simple example If a £100 voucher has a 5% saving: - Keep the saving: you pay £95 for the voucher and can spend £100 at the retailer. - Choose rent contributions: you pay £100 for the voucher, can spend £100 at the retailer, and £5 goes towards your rent. You choose which option to use in the Rent tab, if your landlord offers rent contributions. You can still keep the saving if you prefer. The app is free to use. Check the saving, payment total and retailer's rules before you buy. Need help? In the Housing Perks app, tap Help, then the support email address or Contact Support button. If you cannot use the app, use our contact form.
Getting StartedWhy are some retailers not available in the app?
The app shows the retailers currently available to you. Some retailers do not offer vouchers through Housing Perks, and the list can change. If a retailer is missing Check the retailer's name in the app. If it is not listed, you cannot buy its voucher through Housing Perks at the moment. You can suggest a retailer to our support team. We will consider your suggestion, but we cannot promise that the retailer will be added. Need help? In the Housing Perks app, tap Help, then the support email address or Contact Support button. If you cannot use the app, use our contact form.
